Thank you for choosing to study at Alphacrucis College (AC)! The HE Academic Handbook has been developed just for our students to answer questions about AC and help you understand key information about AC's processes, expectations and courses. We trust you find this information helpful throughout your studies.
In order to formally commence studying at AC, it is essential that you carefully read the policies and procedures in this student handbook and agree to abide by the policies and procedures set by AC.

Admission

Credit, RPL or Transfers
If you wish to apply for exemption from subjects or credit from previous studies, this section contains helpful information and forms. For further advice on credit or RPL please contact the Program Director for your course of study.
Enrolment
This section contains all you need to know about enrolling in subjects, including information about the various subjects, how to enrol, plus when is it possible to change your enrolment and what constitutes a full-time/part-time study load. It's really important to remember that you need to enrol each semester.
Enrolment occurs under the direction of the Registry. It is the student’s responsibility to be aware of the specific requirements of the program in which they are enrolled and to select subjects that satisfy these requirements.

Fees and Tuition
This section provides information regarding fees, payments and grounds on which a refund may be applied for.
All fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the term of study. No student can commence classes unless tuition fees are paid. If, after the census date of the semester, a student’s tuition fees are not paid, or the student has not arranged for alternate payment schedule, then the student will automatically receive a Fail (F) grade for the unpaid subjects. Students who are unable to pay tuition fees may choose to contact the registrar and withdraw from their subjects before the census date to avoid this Fail grade.

Academic Misconduct & Progression
This section outlines what we mean by Academic Misconduct (including plagiarism), and how this may lead to you being excluded from studying at AC. It also details when an Academic Progress Intervention Strategy will be implemented to assist a student who is identified as being at risk of failing and not progressing successfully with their studies.

A grievance is a statement of concern reported to a person in authority at Alphacrucis College that requires action or response from the college. A grievance can be about any kind of situation or process affecting the student, academic and non-academic, and can be against a person or people at the college.
